The Regina Maria Theatre is pleased to announce the fourth premiere of this year by the Iosif Vulcan Troupe: THE ART OF ADULTERY, by Pierre Chesnot, directed by Daniel Vulcu. The premiere will take place Sunday, April 22, from 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall of the Theatre, and the second performance, Monday, April 23, from the same time, also at the Great Hall.

The author of the play, Pierre Chesnot, is a French playwright specialized in boulevard comedies, whose literary creations have remained relevant, becoming successful shows wherever they have been staged. One of the texts that contributed to supporting his reputation as an illustrious author is "The Art of Adultery", a play with a vaudeville character, which will certainly bring smiles to the faces of the spectators. As suggested by the title, the subject of the show is marital infidelity, presented, obviously, in a humorous manner, and the narrative thread of the story is a rhythmic one due to unexpected events.

Although lying is within everyone's reach, only a few manage to turn the process of falsifying the truth into a science. The ability to make the other person fall into the carefully woven net of carefully chosen statements and charming behavior can truly become an art.

The adulterous relationship between Jean François, a film director, and his mistress, Nathalie, is about to be discovered by his wife, and the efforts the two lovers make to create the image of a situation that will not arouse suspicion go beyond the limits of normal.

The translation from French and the adaptation of the text belong to Marică Beligan, and the stage direction of the show is carried out by Daniel Vulcu. Actor, director and general manager of the Regina Maria Theater, Daniel Vulcu has distinguished himself during his artistic career, both on the stage of the theater in Oradea and in other theaters in the country, assuming various roles and directing numerous shows beloved by the public.

The show's decor is created by Bucharest scenographer Bogdan Spătaru, who is in his first collaboration with the Regina Maria Theater, and the costumes are designed by Oradea artist Amalia Buie, a fashion designer.
