The Regina Maria Theater joins the Oradea City Hall, Eurobusiness Parc Oradea, the two NGOs and the private companies involved in the project started by the Double Tree by Hilton hotel, Earth Hour Oradea. The event will take place tomorrow, March 29, 2014, between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM and will be marked by the switching off of architectural lighting in several areas of the city. For one hour, the Regina Maria Theater will also switch off the building's exterior lights. During this time, in Union Square, the organizers will create a map of the Earth and the event's logo, made of candles.

Earth Hour is celebrated every year on the last Saturday of March, since 2007. WORLD THEATRE DAY MESSAGE – 2014

World Theatre Day – March 27, 2014

International Message

„"Wherever there is a human society, the uncontrollable Spirit of the Spectacle also manifests itself.".

Under the trees of small villages and on high-tech stages in globalized cities; in school halls, fields and temples; in slums, urban squares, community centers and renovated basements, people are drawn together to experience a sense of communion in the ephemeral theatrical worlds we create to express our human complexity, our diversity, our vulnerability, in flesh and blood, in breath and voice.

REHEARSALS HAVE BEGUN FOR THE COMETA SHOW

The Regina Maria Theater announces a new premiere: the show COMETA (by Justine del Corte, directed by Radu-Alexandru Nica), which will take place on Saturday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at the Great Hall.

A comet, and under it – a happy couple of newlyweds. Around them – relaxed and happy people. A cheerful party in the countryside, in the shade of a tree… Ten years after her wedding, Elisabeth wonders if happiness can be pinned down and makes the next attempt: she repeats the party.

Director Radu-Alexandru Nica's mise-en-scène focuses on the idea of repeating a real event (the wedding of the two characters), compared to the rehearsal in the theater.

The cast includes the following actors: Mihaela Gherdan, Richard Balint, Anda Tămășanu, Alin Stanciu, Dania Ținca, Corina Cernea, Georgia Căprărin, Irene Flamann, Șerban Borda and George Voinese. The set design is by Cristian Rusu, the choreography is by Florin Fieroiu and the music is by Alex Halka; Lucian Moga was in charge of the light design.

Michelangelo Buonarroti was, along with Leonardo da Vinci, the most important artist during the peak of the Italian Renaissance.
