QUEEN MARIA THEATRE PARTICIPATES IN EARTH HOUR ORADEA

Written by Teatrul Regina Maria on 28 Mar, 2014.

The Regina Maria Theater joins the Oradea City Hall, Eurobusiness Parc Oradea, the two NGOs and the private companies involved in the project started by the Double Tree by Hilton hotel, Earth Hour Oradea. The event will take place tomorrow, March 29, 2014, between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM and will be marked by the switching off of architectural lighting in several areas of the city. For one hour, the Regina Maria Theater will also switch off the building's exterior lights. During this time, in Union Square, the organizers will create a map of the Earth and the event's logo, made of candles.

Earth Hour is celebrated every year on the last Saturday of March, since 2007. On this day, organizers and participants everywhere try to raise awareness about the negative effects that the consumption of natural resources has on the planet. In this regard, in all areas of the world, people, public institutions and private companies are urged to turn off their lights and get involved in actions to protect and improve the environment.
