On the theater stage, the play has been reprised many times from 1982 to the present with great success, being played including at the Théâtre du Palais Royal in Paris.

This is not the first time that a text by Jean Poiret is performed on the stage of the Regina Maria Theater in Oradea. "Cabaret in the Family", a show that enjoyed great success and whose script is based on the text The cage of fools, premiered on January 14, 2001, directed by Daniel Vulcu.
