A title adored by the general public, of great notoriety and one of the most beloved ballet performances performed on the world's great stages around the Winter Holidays, "The Nutcracker" enjoys great popularity, having been successfully translated over time into an ice ballet, feature film, cartoon or illustrated book. The magical ballet in two acts glides harmoniously on the score of the Russian composer Tchaikovsky., based on the fairy tale of the same name by Alexandre Dumas.

The fascinating winter story brings us to the festive atmosphere in the Silberhaus family living room, where all the loved ones are enjoying the celebration of the Christmas tree. Little Maria and her brother Fritz rush over the presents, but the most precious of all is, by far, the towering Nutcracker, viewed with great admiration. From here until entering the magical realm of fairies, giants and dolls who interpret cheerfully Snowflake Waltz, it's just one step.

The cast that brings the fascinating show to life on the Cluj Opera stage consists of: Andreea Jura (Maria), Dan Haja (The Nutcracker), Adelina Filipaș (The Dragée Fairy), Doina Anamaria Florea, Marius Toda (Councillor Drosselmeyer), Romulus Petruș (President Silberhaus), Daniela Drăgușin, Antoniu Mon, Laura Pop, Valentin Mihăilă, Augustin Gribnicea, Lucian Bacoiu, Octavian Popa, accompanied by a group of students from the "Octavian Stroia" Choreography High School”, on the notes The Romanian National Opera Orchestra in Cluj-Napoca, under the baton of conductor Jozsef Horvath. Choreography and artistic direction are signed by Basil Solomon, with his choreographic takeover Dan Haja.

We invite you to step onto the joyful Snowflake Waltz, on an imaginary journey that will bring back the unparalleled joy of childhood on Christmas Eve!
