She began her career at the Cluj-Napoca National Theatre, from where she came in 1957, together with the actor Kozma Lajos, employed at the Hungarian section of the Oradea Theatre. A good professional, both as a set designer and, especially, as a costume designer, she has done an intense and prodigious job, creating the set design for no less than fifty-seven shows in the twenty-two seasons, impressive figures for a set designer, in addition to collaborations with other theatres in the country. Her creative file illustrates not only the number, but also the difficulty and complexity of some of the productions, for which she was awarded prizes at several national events of the genre. She has also exhibited graphic and painting works in several exhibitions, personal or group.

He started acting at the "Ciocarlia" Ensemble in Bucharest, the theater department. After ten years, he transferred to the "Valea Jiului" Theater in Petroşani. For six years (1964-1970) he played numerous roles in shows directed by Marietta Sadova (who, having just been released from prison, was only accepted at theaters as far away from Bucharest as possible), Ion Olteanu, Călin Florian, Mihai Zirra. A chance for actors, a real theater school, extremely useful for Marcel Popa too – who did not graduate from a specialized faculty.

She began her stage career at the Turda Theater, from where she came to Oradea in 1962, together with her husband. Endowed with a pleasant physique and a certain stage grace, she benefited from above-average use in comedic ingenue roles, and not only. Shining, at times, she brought warmth and freshness to the stage. After fifty roles in the thirteen seasons in Oradea, she transferred to the Sibiu Theatre. In almost all the roles entrusted to her (mostly appropriate for her age), Ana Popa brought a touch of cheerfulness and optimism, of confidence and good humor. Roles such as the Sprite of the Forest ("Floricica purpurie" by Brausevici and Karnauhova), Mioara-Lăcrămioara ("Floare de nu-mă-oita" by Valentin Avrigeanu), Eros ("Critis" by Radu Stanca) suited her perfectly - her crystalline laugh being unmistakable. With humor she played nice girls or even mischievous boys: Liana (in "Nicnic" by Anca Bursan and Gheorghe Panco), Miţi ("Escu" by Tudor Muşatescu), Gulita ("Chiriţa în provincie" by V. Alecsandri), Cocoşelul ("Muşchetarii măgăriei sale" by Ion Lucian and Virgil Puicea).

Coming to Oradea, as a graduate, she played a season there, left, together with Radu Penciulescu, to the National Theatre in Craiova, and after a year they returned together. She achieved her great creation in Ioana in "Ciocarlia" by Jean Anouilh in 1958, after which she was requested by the National Theatre "ILCaragiale" in Bucharest, where she developed the rest of her career. Unfortunately, not at the level that was hoped for after the first successes. In the performance "The Ciocarlia" by Jean Anouilh - one of the most appreciated nationally in those years (1958-1959), Eliza Plopeanu masterfully embodied the role of Joan of Arc. "The young Eliza Plopeanu was a revelation for the Bucharest audience - wrote Vera Călin, after the tour of the State Theater from Oradea to Bucharest - I watched with pleasure her nuanced acting and sensitive physiognomy".

After a few brief appearances in a few films during his student years, he debuted as a professional actor at the Oradea Theater. The only one he played in until his death, due to an incurable illness.

An actor with an ideal physique and voice for the theater and equally talented, he became, right from the beginning of his career, the actor taken into account when compiling the repertoire. He played "beautiful" characters with equal ease, but he composed, with grace, memorable "types" or strong figures, what we call "heroes" in theater or film.

From the institute he came directly to Oradea, where, unfortunately, he did not act to the best of his talent, although he appeared in eleven roles over the three seasons. However, he showed his qualities in roles such as Rodolfo in Arthur Miller's "A View from the Bridge" or Eli Liber in Irwin Shaw's "The Blackmail". Valentin Chifor recorded his exemplary participation in the success of the show "View from the Bridge", signed by Valeriu Grama, in the role of Rodolfo, alongside his talented colleague, Vasile Constantinescu. In the role of Captain Mârzea ("Mihai Viteazul. Călugăreni" by Octav Dessila) he brought a robustness and enthusiasm that added extra credibility to the captain. He transferred to the "Ion Creangă" Theater in the capital, where he became a regular actor in the troupe. He appeared in several TV shows and performances, as well as in numerous films.

When Radu Penciulescu was awarded the UNITER Excellence Award a few years ago, someone called him, with love and respect, "the master of masters." And this, on the one hand, for his undeniable artistic successes in his artistic career, but also for the simple fact that today, at least some of his former students are, in turn, masters in theatrical art.

When he worked in Oradea, Radu Penciulescu was a young director, of brilliant intelligence, cultured, a genuine intellectual, talented and full of energy and high artistic ideals. His performances, all of them, without exception, regardless of the value of the plays, are full of life and brimming with ideas, built with elegance and refinement, in images that complete and ennoble the ideas and message of the texts.

He came to Oradea, after having been to the theaters in Reşiţa, Arad and Botoşani, and played quite a few and insignificant roles (compared to his wife Dorina Păunescu), which is why he left the collective in the city on Crişul Repede, going to the "Mihai Eminescu" Theater in Botoşani, where he spent the rest of his career. In the other theaters he had played many important roles, proving himself to be a more than useful-necessary actor.

She spent a season at the theaters in Botoşani and Arad, before settling in Oradea. A very talented actress, with a pleasant and expressive appearance, she played important roles in previous theaters, as well as in Oradea: Masha in "The Seagull" by A.P. Chekhov, Oana in "Sunset" by B.Şt. Delavrancea, Princess in "The Empty King" by Evgheni Şvarţ, or Silvia in "These Sad Angels" by D.R. Popescu.

An actor with a special sense of humor and charm, practiced as a presenter and coupletist on the stage of the Army Ensemble in Cluj-Napoca, he also capitalized on these qualities in a prose theater, at the National Theater in Cluj-Napoca, and, especially in Oradea, where he played for twelve seasons, delighting the audience in forty-nine stage appearances, which stood out for their humanity, sincerity and… native talent. His appearances, which aroused much sympathy, are too numerous to list, but, in absolutely all of them, he was charming.

She came to Oradea from Sibiu. Beneficiary of a pleasant stage physique and a warm voice, she left a good impression in no less than eighteen roles (Elena in "The Trojan War Will Not Take Place" by Jean Giraudoux, Maria in "The Decision" by Mircea Bradu, Mati in "The Dictator" by Al. Kiriţescu or Christine in "The Match Girl" by Angel Cârstea after Hans Christian Andersen - to name a few) played in just three seasons on the Oradea theater stage.

He left the theater and we believe he never acted anywhere again.

A painter by profession (painting and graphics), he became a set designer, as a necessity of the Oradea theater, where he created the set design for thirteen shows in four seasons, in the Romanian section, and several others in the Hungarian section. After the arrival of qualified set designers, he was less in demand. After the divorce, he left for Hungary, where he created several more sets for the stage of Hungarian theaters, then went to the USA, where he died.

Director Laurian Oniga was employed at the State Theatre in Oradea in 1987, and in 1990, after the Revolution, he left for Bucharest, for a good part of the time he was active in politics, alongside Nicolae Manolescu, and thus absent from the theatre. He then began to collaborate with various theatres in the country: the Giuleşti Theatre in Bucharest, the National Theatre in Timişoara (employed as artistic director and artistic director), the Constanta Dramatic Theatre (employed as artistic director and artistic director), the National Theatre and the Small Theatre in Bucharest, the "Al.Davilla" Theatre in Piteşti (employed as artistic director), the "Tony Bulandra" Theatre in Bucharest. Since 2000 he has been employed at the "Ion Slavici" Theatre in Arad and, shortly after, he also takes over the management of the theatre as general director.

An actor of good looks and strength, with an ideal physique for the theater and a pleasant vocal timbre, he went through several theaters – such as the Cluj-Napoca National Theater, where he performed an excellent Mircea in "Gaiţele" by Al. Kiriţescu – and the one in Oradea, for three seasons. He left behind the memory of some… Cezar in "Caesar and Cleopatra" by G.B.Shaw, Bocioacă in "Interesul general" by Aurel Baranga, or Tudor Mărău in "Nicnic" by A.Bursan and Gh.Panco, after which he left for another theater.

Coming to Oradea as a graduate, benefiting from a pleasant physique and artistic qualities, both in the dramatic and comic register, the actress performed an average of four important roles per season, which is telling even for a provincial theater. In Käthie ("Heidelberg of the Past" by Wilhelm Meyer-Förster), a chronicler observed that she is not only beautiful, but also sensitive and almost tender, in her simplicity. Gina Nicolae's Ziţa ("A Stormy Night" by ILCaragiale) had temperament and even a little poetry, a hint of romanticism, albeit outdated. A wave of authentic dramatism is present in the role of Begbick in "The Disappearance of Galy Gay" by Bertolt Brecht.
