A strange transaction is about to take place. The ad has been distributed and a candidate has already emerged who seems to meet the most important conditions mentioned. No one knows exactly how to proceed in a situation like this, but attempts are being made to work out the details so that all parties involved are satisfied. The chances that everything will go according to plan are high, if the emotional aspect and the complications that can arise with competition are not taken into account.
The Regina Maria Theater is pleased to announce the premiere of the show "Attractive Offer", by Anton Fink, translated and directed by Elvira Rîmbu, which will take place on Sunday, February 5 and Monday, February 6, from 7:00 PM, at the Transilvania Hall.
Oradea International Theatre Festival is a large-scale cultural event, which aims to provide a space dedicated to theatrical arts, through which to stimulate cultural consumption, to support and promote local dramatic creations, Romanian and foreign theatrical productions, as well as to create opportunities for Romanian and foreign artists to share experiences of good practices, innovative ideas and to initiate the most diversified national and international partnerships.
This concept was launched in 2013 by the Regina Maria Theatre in partnership with the Oradea International Theatre Festival Cultural Foundation and brings together under its umbrella Short Theatre Festival (FTS), which is competitive in nature, Great Guest Shows Section and Independent Shows – Fringe.
The Short Play Festival is one of the most important sections of the Oradea International Theatre Festival and continues a tradition started at the Oradea Theatre in 1976. FTS has now reached its 26th edition, being the only festival dedicated to the one-act play in Romania.
The famous musical "The Fiddler on the Roof" returns to the stage of the Regina Maria Theater at the request of the audience. An emblematic show of recent years for the Romanian theater in Oradea, the musical premiered on September 25, 2011 and has always been performed to full houses since then. The audience's interest in the Oradea production quickly expanded and it soon became a cultural tourist attraction for theater lovers from all over the country.
On December 19, the Regina Maria Theater and the Szigligeti Theater, in partnership with the National Archives, opened in the two pockets of the Loji Foyer, the exhibition "Musical and theatrical memories. Archive treasures from the cultural heritage of Oradea".
The exhibition contains an important selection of documents, posters, scores, fragments of old texts, some dating back even before the construction of the theater, which capture aspects of Oradea's theatrical life. The opening of the exhibition was attended by representatives of both Romanian and Hungarian theater, as well as the Bihor County Service of the National Archives, who discussed the importance of the archive, which acts as a form of physical and fixed memory, about Oradea's theatrical life at the beginning of its journey and the need to research old documents.
Georges (Răzvan Vicoveanu) and Jeannot (Richard Balint) are a charming middle-aged gay couple. The former is the manager and the latter the star performer of a flamboyant drag club in Saint-Tropez. After twenty years of blissful extramarital bliss, the two face the toughest challenge of their relationship yet: meeting the parents of their son's fiancée.
They both decide the best approach is to hide their sexual identities, along with their flamboyant personalities, when their ultra-conservative, anti-gay future in-laws come to visit. This comical scenario sets off a stunning French farce.
Musical, moving, captivating and astonishing, the show "Colivia Nebunelor" is a comic masterpiece about love and preconceptions.
The Regina Maria Theater announces the premiere of the show COLIVIA NEBUNER, by Jean Poiret, directed by Daniel Vulcu, which will take place on Friday, December 16, at 7:00 PM at the Great Hall.
Jean Poiret, by his original name Jean-Gustave Poiré (August 17, 1926, Paris – March 14, 1992, Paris), is a big name in French cinema and theater. He was a theater and film actor, author of numerous plays and scripts that were transformed into successful films. He worked in collaboration with great directors such as François Truffaut (Le Dernier Métro) and Claude Chabrol (Inspecteur Lavardine), leaving behind many memorable roles. Regarding his work in theater, Jean Poiret remains known as an important representative of boulevard theater. He wrote and performed several successful plays, the most famous of which are: The cage of fools, Happy holidays! and Duck with oranges.
The cage of fools (The cage of fools) is the text that established him as an author, through which he returns to the source of his comic verve: cabaret humor. The original production of the play took place at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal on February 1, 1973, with Jean Poiret himself in the cast, who played one of the main roles. The comedy was enthusiastically received by critics, which had over 2,000 performances over time, inspired several films and was adapted into a Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.
Georges, the manager of a flamboyant drag club, and Jeannot, the club's star performer, have been happily married for 15 years in Saint-Tropez. When their son decides to get married, the gay couple is faced with an unexpected challenge: will the fiancée's ultra-conservative parents accept their orientation, or should they lie to them?
Following requests from parents, an ad hoc meeting is organized at the North Pole to save the stories. This is because without stories, all the magic of Christmas disappears, and Santa Claus is left without the famous sleigh with which he brings gifts every year. To save the situation, Santa Claus and Santa Claus convince the negative characters in children's stories to do good deeds.
The show Santa's Sleigh aims to be a very brief foray into childhood stories, such as The Bear Tricked by the Fox, The Three Little Pigs and The Goat with Three Kids, to see what a good deed means and who should do it, to bring the magic of Christmas back to earth.
Distribution: Alexander Pop – Santa Claus Florian Silaghi – Santa Claus Armanca Serac – The Goblin Zentania Lupşe – The fox Igor Lungu – The wolf Multiple roles – Andrei Fazecaș and Consuela Egyed
Directed by: Igor Lungu Scenography: Madalina Baciu Music: Ovidiu Iloc
"last it is a piece of life, lived real and without restraint, without modesty. Mimi's plays do not spare you, longing. Everything is raw, authentic and true. It is a show about dreaming and about helplessness, about the desire to succeed, to go somewhere more into the light. I chose the text because it is a tough text, because I believe in the truth, even if it revolts us and is difficult to digest. Our characters are captive in a world and in a time that passes in vain. They are as we are, both bad and beautiful, you judge them, but you also pity them. We all dream of a better life, we all dream of being happy and, depending on the situation we find ourselves in, we are willing or not to make compromises.” (Denisa Irina Vlad)
The Regina Maria Theater announces the premiere of the show ULTIMIII, text by Mimi Brănescu, directed by Denisa Irina Vlad, which will take place on December 3 and 4, from 7 p.m., at the Transilvania Hall.
The play "The Last" is full of Mimi Brănescu's specific irony. Built with humor and drama alike, it leaves the viewer the freedom to position themselves as they wish in relation to what is happening on stage, and Denisa Irina Vlad's directorial vision maintains the balance of this duality, without tipping the scales too much to one side or the other. The show captures a world that is funny at first glance, with simple characters, caught in the seemingly stupid dramas of their limited universe, but who reveal downright tragic realities along the way. The situation of the four characters evokes laughter, but as the story reveals the other layers of their family life, the laughter will be doubled by regret, compassion and even revolt towards their stasis in their own helplessness.

? During the "Christmas in the Land of Stories" Festival, the little visitors to Arcadia will have interactive activities and games in the workshops, and the meetings with Santa Claus promise to create a fairy-tale atmosphere where children, welcomed with joy, will be able to tell stories with Santa and take pictures. ? The festive atmosphere in the Arcadia Theater is completed by the decorations that will cover the entire space, from the entrance to the foyer, where the magical Christmas tree decorated by elves and goblins will be placed, right in Santa Claus's magical workshop! ?
„"The Three Little Pigs" is one of the stories that has long opened children's interest in literature and the world of books. Like every immortal fairy tale, the importance of the story lies primarily in the message it conveys to children, namely that in life we cannot always act according to the pleasure principle, as the two older pigs do, but we must build a solid foundation to be able to face the dangers that may arise, like the little pig. It can also be seen as an allegory of the fact that all children grow up and must make their own choices, which can be bad or good.
The story became famous worldwide with the 1933 Disney animated adaptation, based on the version by Australian folklorist Joseph Jacobs. The Arcadia Troupe's performance is inspired by the Disney version, but adapted to our times and culture.

The first edition of the "Portret de autor" Festival, organized by the Iosif Vulcan Troupe of the Regina Maria Theater, in partnership with the Bihor County Council, has come to an end, after eight days in which spectators and theater people were able to enjoy beautiful performances and artistic encounters.
During this event, the Transilvania Hall was inaugurated, in the space of the old Transilvania Cinema, a new studio-type theater, which officially opened with the premiere of the show "The Son". The event was attended by theater critics, casting directors, and Oradea officials, such as Mayor Florin Birta and Vice President of the County Council Călin Gal.
"The idea of organizing this festival emerged with the "Son" project, proposed to the Regina Maria Theater by director Bobi Pricop, but also from the impossibility of organizing the Oradea International Theater Festival, a large-scale event with a tradition in the Romanian theatrical landscape.
"As the text "The Son" is part of a trilogy signed by Zeller and knowing that the other two plays, "Mother" and "Father", were staged in Romania, we considered it an opportunity that we should take advantage of to recreate a little of the atmosphere of the Oradea theater festival, to highlight an important project: the premiere of the show "The Son" and to initiate a new theatrical event, which we hope will grow even more in the years to come under the dome of the Oradea International Theater Festival", says Daniel Vulcu, manager of the Regina Maria Theater, about the new Oradea theater festival.
The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theater announces a new premiere of the 2022-2023 season: "The Three Little Pigs", an adaptation of Walt Disney, directed by Daniel Vulcu, which will take place on Sunday, October 23, at 11:00 AM, at the Arcadia Hall.
"The Three Little Pigs" is one of the stories that has long opened children's interest in literature and the world of books. Over time, it has known several variations, but the main idea has remained similar: three little pigs, pursued by a greedy wolf, each build a little house to protect themselves. The older little pigs, somewhat lazy and comfortable by nature, build shaky constructions, which the wolf knocks down without much effort, while the younger one, industrious and thoughtful by nature, builds a solid house, which the big and bad wolf does not even manage to shake.
Until Death Do Us Part (Liselotte and the Month of May) is a show in which humor is intertwined with tragedy. Liselotte, a lonely girl who is looking for her chosen one, manages to go through situations that are as unpredictable as they are comical. He, the Chosen One, puts on the colorful coat of the playful, ending in the sobriety of a master of ceremonies' tuxedo... the ceremony of marriage or death?
Nicolas is a teenager who is going through a problematic phase. Since the family context is not too happy either, the parents are divorced, and the father has started another family, the fight to overcome the critical moment falls on the parents one by one. When the mother becomes overwhelmed by the situation, the father takes over the mission and tries to help his son. Oscillating between helplessness, love, rebellion, guilt, his own traumas and fears, the effort to restore the emotional chaos into which the boy has fallen proves to be more difficult than expected. In all the desperation of the situation, he makes choices that will have unexpected consequences for everyone.
"The Son" is a family drama that realistically deals with a sensitive subject: teenage depression and the suffering experienced by all those who face such a problem.
The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theater announces a new premiere for the youngest spectators: "Norr in the World of Colors", which will take place on Saturday, October 1, from 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, at the Arcadia Small Hall.
The show is a concept signed by actor Florian Silaghi, dedicated to children between the ages of 0 and 3, which uses sensory stimulation elements: colors, visual effects, calibrated music, shadow plays, lights and colorful images, with the aim of accustoming the little ones to the spectacular world of theater. With the help of these elements, which may seem simple at first glance, enchanting moments are created, which will gently captivate the attention of the little spectators, thus increasing the level of receptivity and adaptability to new environments. The main character of the show is the unicorn Norr, who will be a charming guide, for 40 minutes, in a laboratory world, full of color and magical mirrors.
