Actor Tiberiu Covaci has passed away

The Regina Maria Theater collective bids farewell with great sadness to actor Tiberiu Covaci, who has passed away.

TIBERIU COVACI was born on October 24, 1954. He graduated from the "Szentgyorgy Istvan" Theater Institute in Târgu-Mureş (1981). After graduating from the faculty, he came directly to the theater in Oradea, where he remained until his retirement. In the more than 30 years in which he was faithful to the Oradea stage, he played in over 70 shows, conscientiously and tactfully building characters that will remain fondly in the audience's memory. Among them, we mention: Bobi (in "The Florentine Hat"), Caliban (in "The Tempest"), Charles (in "As You Like It"), Béralde (in "The Imaginary Patient"), Arturo (in "La Grande Magia"), Ionescu (in "A Lost Letter"), Rugby (in "The Merry Wives of Windsor"), Nagg (in "End of the Game"), Lucky (in "Waiting for Godot"), the Minister (in "The Stag King"). He was loved by both mature and young audiences, naturally approaching roles in children's shows, including: Red Emperor (in "White Robber"), the King (in "Cinderella"), Bill Tower (in "The Little Match Girl").

The funeral will take place on December 22, at 10:00 a.m., at the Rulikowski Cemetery, Hasaș Chapel.

Eternal rest in peace and light! Sincere condolences to the bereaved family.

PRESS RELEASE_Premiere: The Snow Queen and the Magic Mirror Arcadia Troupe

The Arcadia troupe of the Regina Maria Theater invites you on Saturday, December 18 to the premiere of a splendid atmospheric show, in which the play of light, shadow and color creates a magical world, in which the spectators will be completely absorbed: "The Snow Queen and the Enchanted Mirror", after Hans Christian Andersen, dramatized and directed by Iulian Bulancea.

THE SNOW QUEEN and the MAGIC MIRROR

"The Snow Queen", as written by Andersen, is a complex, large-scale fairy tale (consisting of seven stories), very rich in meanings and symbolism, which made it the basis for many screen adaptations and performances of all kinds: opera, ballet, theater... many of them not dedicated to children, but to an adult audience. Like any text, which was not designed for the stage, it required a work of selection and rewriting to adapt it to the rules of the stage and the aesthetic language that I proposed. I selected from the multitude of meanings and valences of the fairy tale, the simplest and strongest, which would be easily spotted by our target audience: children. This is how ""The Snow Queen and the Magic Mirror", the text that underlies our show, which is about the power of friendship and love, about the ability to overcome any obstacle, even if our main character, Gerda, is seen by everyone as "just a little girl". (Iulian Bulancea)

With: Consuela Egyed, Armanca Serac, Zentania Lupșe, Florian Silaghi, Alexandru Pop, Igor Lungu, Andrei Fazecaș

A show by Iulian Bulancea
Scenography: Răzvan Chendrean
Technical direction, lighting: Peter Papp

Show recommended for children over 5 years old!

Premiere date: December 18, 2021
