Message for World Theatre Day 2019

Written by Teatrul Regina Maria on 26 Mar, 2019.

 Carlos CELDRAN, Cuba

Before my awakening in the theater, my masters were already there. They had built their homes and poetics on the vestiges of their own lives. Many of them remain unknown or rarely visit our memories: they worked in secret, in the humble silence of rehearsal rooms and in performance halls filled to capacity with spectators. So that, imperceptibly, at the end of many years of work sprinkled with extraordinary achievements, they would become invisible and disappear. When I understood that my profession, that my personal destiny was to follow in their footsteps, I also understood that I had inherited from them this heartbreaking and unique tradition of living the present without any other hope than reaching the transparency of an unrepeatable moment. The moment when you meet the other in the darkness of the theater, protected only by the truth of a gesture, of a revealing word.

Happy birthday to actor Ciprian Ciuciu

Written by Teatrul Regina Maria on 6 Jun, 2018.

Today is the birthday of our colleague, actor Ciprian Ciuciu. On the occasion of his birthday, he gave us a short interview in which he revealed a few things about his destiny in theater and the passions that have guided his path so far.

Collaborator of the Regina Maria Theater since his first year of college, Ciprian Ciuciu has had the curiosity, openness and initiative to take on his passions since adolescence. From go-karting, numismatics and archaeology, to painting icons on glass, poetry and theater, Ciprian has "tested" every hobby. In the 11th grade he realized that acting could be more than a hobby, it could be a profession. After taking acting classes at the Children's Palace in Oradea, Ciprian enrolled in the Pygmalion courses and received confirmation from the teachers that he was on a possible path.  „"I always wanted to make a living doing something I loved. When I discovered that theater could be more than a passion, it seemed like the perfect recipe. Against many rational thoughts, I chose to become an actor. I knew I wouldn't get rich, but I knew I would be happy"”, Ciprian recalls. Just three weeks after starting his first year of college, he had his first casting, in the show The Merry Wives of Windsor, under the stage direction of Victor Ioan Frunză. A promising collaboration with the institution on whose stage he still plays today. "„It helped me that I collaborated with the theater during my student years, because the rehearsals were like a kind of classes for me, and the actors were my influential teachers"”, says Cypris.

Happy birthday to actress Georgia Căprărin

Written by Teatrul Regina Maria on 31 May, 2018.

Today is the birthday of our colleague, actress Georgia Căprărin. On the occasion of her birthday, she gave us a short interview in which she revealed a few things about her destiny in theater and in Oradea.

Passionate about literature and grammar as a child and teenager, Olympiad and a constant presence in literary creation competitions, Georgia followed the intensive English profile of a theoretical high school in Cluj Napoca. That was until the 10th grade, when she realized that her destiny was different. "I decided to move to the Octavian Stoici High School of Dramatic Art quite suddenly. It is true that I grew up in a family of artists, so the artistic environment was not foreign to me, but I had not thought until then about approaching theater, other than as a spectator," Georgia remembers.

Happy birthday to actress Denisa Vlad

Written by Teatrul Regina Maria on 30 May, 2018.

Today is the birthday of our colleague, Denisa Vlad!

On the eve of her birthday, Denisa confesses that of all the passions and hobbies she has had so far, theater has remained the strongest attraction. A passion that has turned into a profession. She was also attracted to motorcycling, but remained at the beginner stage, after the association she had joined closed. „"I only practiced motorcycling for about two years. I had joined a motorcycle club whose members were very special people. I traveled with them and felt safe, as a beginner, because I was flanked when I set off on the road"”, says the actress. „"Motorcycling gave me a feeling of freedom and, at the same time, a feeling of strength. In general, I feel attracted to activities through which we demonstrate that we, women, are somehow equal to men"”, Denisa explained.
