Passionate about rafting and paragliding, practicing kickboxing and freestyle wrestling as a teenager, Alin Stanciu now describes himself as a father, devoted husband, concerned with the success of his rapidly approaching wedding, and the search for a family car. It seems he did everything in his time. "What else do I like? Doing theater, finding out stories and initiating projects. I would also like to buy a bicycle. Socializing with friends. In my free time, I am a family man. And I am a man who tends to solve problems," says Alin.

The Regina Maria Theater returned from the "Deva Performing Arts" Festival, organized by the Deva Art Theater, where it participated with the show "Leonce and Lena", scripted by Mihai Măniuțiu and Ada Milea after Georg Büchner, under the artistic direction of Mihai Măniuțiu.

It's been ten years since a great actor left us: ION MÂINEA.

He left with the regret of not having played, perhaps, a King Lear or a Macbeth, characters to whom he would have undoubtedly given a masterful stage presence, but, I suspect, also with great happiness, that of having had the luck (his luck has a name: director Alexandru Darie) to play Salieri in a landmark show of the Oradea Theatre: AMADEUS. Salieri, a fabulous character, for whom Ion Mâinea created an imposing, moving, hard-to-forget dramatic stature.

Two of the most recent performances by the Iosif Vulcan band, "FAD (Noduri şi placi)” and „The Art of Adultery”, along with the Regina Maria Theatre’s hit shows, „Scripcarul pe Acoperiş” and „Leonce şi Lena”, will delight audiences across the country in May and June.

Thus, the Iosif Vulcan Troupe honors the invitation to participate in no less than four festivals, two of which are international. In addition, the Oradea actors come to welcome the audience in Bistriţa and Zalău, where they will play on the road.

The Iosif Vulcan troupe of the Regina Maria Theatre recently returned from one of the most prestigious theater festivals in the country: the Craiova International Shakespeare Festival, which reached its 11th edition this year, where it participated with the show "In the Heart of the Night - Macbeth Episode", a script based on William Shakespeare by Gavriil Pinte, with inserts from George Banu and Monique Borie, directed by Gavriil Pinte.

Today is the birthday of our colleague Ioana Dragoș Gajdo.

Ioana Dragoș Gajdo knew she would become an actress since she was a little child. "I had no doubt about the acting profession. It was my dream since I can remember. I think I'm in one of those lives where I was given the chance to do what I love and make a living from it," the actress confesses. "Things somehow flowed naturally in my life. I took the train and went to Târgu Mureș. I was the first to enter college. And I caught the times when exams lasted three weeks, there were 30 of us in one place and college lasted four years," the actress recalls. After graduating, she obtained a scholarship abroad, at the Limoge Theater, where Silviu Purcărete was the director. Several seasons followed at the theater in Sfântu Gheorghe, her hometown, and then she moved to Oradea. "I had fallen in love with Oradea a long time ago, since my first visit to the Short Play Festival. The place had a special, radiant energy, and I congratulate myself from the bottom of my heart that I listened to my intuition. The guardian angels of my debut in the Oradea theater were Elvira Rîmbu and Victoria Balint. And the guardian angels of my later career were Daniel Vulcu and my stage partner, Richard Balint.

The Regina Maria Theatre is pleased to announce the fourth premiere of this year by the Iosif Vulcan Troupe: THE ART OF ADULTERY, by Pierre Chesnot, directed by Daniel Vulcu. The premiere will take place Sunday, April 22, from 7:00 PM, at the Great Hall of the Theatre, and the second performance, Monday, April 23, from the same time, also at the Great Hall.

The Regina Maria Theatre is pleased to announce the premiere of the show „"In the Heart of the Night – The Macbeth Episode"”, screenplay based on William Shakespeare by Gavriil Pinte, with inserts from George Banu and Monique Borie, directed by Gavriil Pinte, which concludes the trilogy „"In the Heart of the Night"”, after the "Hamlet Episode" and the "Lear Episode".

British writer Nicola Wilson responded positively to the invitation launched by the Regina Maria Theatre to watch the show FAD (Noduri și placii), whose text she co-authored, and to participate in an open discussion with the Oradea audience. Along with Ms. Wilson, the director Horia Suru was present at the discussion, along with the actors from the cast.

British writerNicola Wilson, the author of the play Noduri și Plăci, comes to Oradea on Wednesday, April 11, to watch the third performance of the FAD show, directed by Horia Suru, based on the aforementioned text. The Oradea public who will be present at the viewing is invited to meet the writer, immediately after the show, during an open conference in which a number of cultural personalities will participate.

Today is the birthday of our colleagues, actors Adela Lazăr and Petre Ghimbășan.

Although they belong to different generations, Petre Ghimbășan and Adela Lazar are some of the most beloved actors of the Regina Maria Theater. Throughout their career, the two celebrants have brightened the hearts of the audience, most of the roles in which they were protagonists being meant to bring optimism, joy and smiles.

The "Regina Maria" Theater in Oradea announces the start of registrations for the 24th edition of the Short Theater Festival. The event, unique in the Romanian theatrical landscape, will take place between September 23 and 30, 2018.

It is a moment of communion, a unique encounter, not found in any other secular activity. Half a mile from Cyrenaica, in northern Libya, is a large stone shelter. 80 meters wide and 20 meters high. In the local dialect it is called Hauh Fteah. In 1951, dating analysis with 14C showed that the site had been occupied by humans continuously for at least 100,000 years. Among the artifacts unearthed was a bone whistle that was 40 to 70 thousand years old. As a child, when I heard this, I asked my father:

After all the evolutionary stories, we know only one thing for sure, which could be summarized as follows: all life forms tend to survive for eternity. If this is possible, life tends to invade time and space, to become immortal. In this process, life forms mutilate and self-destruct on a universal level. However, we must limit our deliberation to the survival of humanity and its emancipation from the caveman, who was engaged in hunting in the Stone Age, to the Space Age that we now live in. Are we now more attentive? More sensitive? More joyful? More loving towards the nature of which we are a product?
